what is MOODY?
MOODY is Australia’s answer to the serendipity Americans take for granted. It’s the room where founders, operators, corporates and creatives end up in the same group chat, and it turns out they needed each other.
It’s a network of more than 1,000 ambitious women. It lives on WhatsApp, meets in person in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Adelaide and Perth, and has growing rooms in New York, LA and London. People come to launch businesses, find their next role, raise money, get the intro they’ve been chasing for six months, and make friends who understand why they’re still answering emails at 10pm.

The Weekly, every Monday. It’s a read on the week from me, the news that matters across retail, business, tech, beauty and the creator economy, and what the room actually said about it, because anyone can tell you what happened but only this group chat can tell you what 1,000 ambitious women made of it. After that come the week’s events, the wins worth celebrating, and a classifieds board for who’s hiring, raising, giving or asking.
MOODY SPOTLIGHT is where one woman opens the books on one real business decision: why she did it, what it cost, and what she’d do differently. There’s also a rapid-fire round, which nobody gets to skip.

Who’s behind it
I’m Brooke Moody. My day job is working on retail and AI at AWS, where I spend my time with the leaders of Australian retail and host conversations on some of the industry’s biggest stages. Before that I built and ran a 100-person digital agency and was named Digital Marketer of the Year. I grew up in regional Queensland and studied IT as one of three women in a cohort of 250, and I’ve spent most of my career as one of the only women in the room.
MOODY is what I wish had existed back then. The talent was always there, but the room wasn’t.
